American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

My Desert has become a go-to spot for me. Third time ordering the Vietnamese tropical fruit boba drink to-go, and Desert Milk never disappoints and the experience remains flawless. I ordered 6 Thai Fruity ( Chè Thái ), 2 Happy Mixed ( Chè Thập Cẩm ), 1 Purple Bliss ( Chè Philippines ), 2 Happy Mix ( Chè Thái ), 1 Chetasty ( Chè Ba Màu) and one Yamyam ( Chè Khoai Dẻo). The beverage quality is incredibly consistent the fruit flavors are always fresh and vibrant, and the boba is perfectly chewy every time. Even with a large order, their team handled everything with incredible professionalism, accuracy, and speed. Every single drink was freshly prepared, perfectly balanced, and delicious. The order was packaged beautifully for travel and prepared exactly to specification. efficient customer service at pickup, which is why I make it a point to tip the team every time. Their ability to handle large orders seamlessly is highly commendable!

I discovered this spot while looking for new and unique places to try. I came here with my friend and got soursop tea and young coco avocado. The soursop tea was a real flavor hit. It was incredibly refreshing and not overly sweet, making it the perfect drink to cool down and enjoy. The Young Coco Avocado was okay, but I expected a stronger avocado flavor. It tasted a little diluted and not as creamy as I had hoped. Highly recommend this place for everyone to try something new!!!

If you like Asian style drinks - this is definitely for you. All the classic favors and a few that appeal to a more diverse palate as well. Definitely worth a try if you like Cafe Viet or the pearl teas.

My wife and I visited for the first time the other day and got to try the Pandan Waffle, and the Happy Mixed. Perfect stop for a non-boba dessert after Hmart. We weren’t sure what to expect after enjoying Bambu at this location but it didn’t disappoint. There’s not many locations that do Vietnamese desserts here in NC. We got to talk to the owner and he emphasized his commitment to details and freshness of the fruit as well as making the toppings in store based off training he had from a friend running a store in Vietnam. The pandan waffle was cooked by the owner himself and had a nice chew similar to a soft mochi with some crisp like a waffle. We ate that one hot. It’s got a subtle sweetness but otherwise nothing bad or standout about it but hits the spot. The Happy Mixed we had with a substitution of white jelly instead of red tapioca (chestnuts bits wrapped w/ tapioca). But my favorite topping was actually unlisted- pandan tapioca. I usually get this drink for the mix of textures but the pandan tapioca is what they call QQ in Chinese. Chewy… bouncy. But it was nice and well balanced, not overly sweet. It does contain coconut milk so don’t get it if you’re not into that. We a

Drinks were very good and clearly made with care; they were so pretty! Only complaint was the tapioca pearl boba, as it was flavorless. We came late in the day, so I am not sure if that was the reason. I'm used to it being cooked in brown sugar syrup so it'd be sweet. Definitely liked the lychee jelly better!
